Multi-car Fatality in Santa Clarita

Having one car hit you is scary, but having two is scarier. Experiencing a car accident is traumatizing. Even if you are just the observer. When you are hit by a car there are so many unknowns. You aren’t sure the property damage or how the car will respond in driving after it was hit. You aren’t sure if you are injured because sometimes injuries to your back or neck don’t really show symptoms until much later. Then there comes the insurance fight. Who is at fault? By how much are they at fault? When will you get financial assistance? There are so many unknown or questions that the last thing you need to worry about is if you are getting in all the paperwork that you need in order to get the financial compensation let alone show up to a court date.

Unfortunate Events

Multi-car accidents can sometimes lead to more than just injuries. Sometimes they can lead to deaths. This was the case for a woman was waiting at a red light to turn left in Santa Clarita. As the woman was waiting at a red light to make a left turn in her black Toyota Corolla a pickup truck drove up behind unable to stop. The crash pushed both vehicles into the intersection. They then ran into a city bus where the impact ended up squishing the black Toyota Corolla under the pickup truck that was hauling a trailer. The city bus then hit a few power lines. The power was knocked out and the surrounding lights including the traffic lights were out for hours.
Onlookers, after all was said and done, tried to help the woman in the car as well as the other drivers and passengers who were affected by the crash. At one point there was a small fire the witnesses had to help extinguish. Unfortunately, when the ambulance and police arrived it was pronounced that the woman who was driving the car had died instantly. The driver of the truck was in serious condition and taken to the hospital alongside a passenger of the bus.
The police are investigating the truck to get a better understanding of how the truck did not stop. They are checking brakes as well as other malfunctioning issues. Blood was also drawn from the truck driver to rule out any driving under the influence. There are so many unknowns and it takes a great amount of time and effort to figure out what did happen that it is nearly impossible to get through it alone especially if you are injured.
