What Caused This Crash To Happen?

We have learned that a mother who was sleeping in her bed with her daughter has been killed after a car slammed into an apartment building in early July. Police say that the crash happened at 8760 S. Main Street near 87th Place. The vehicle caught fire after the impact.
“They hit somebody inside the building. Apparently, they were sleeping by the window, so the families are devastated,” said one witness to the crash.
Nicole Marks, 45, died in the crash. She was sleeping in the bed with her daughter next to her. The daughter, a 4-year-old, was hospitalized but sustained only minor injuries.
Police say that the car hit the wall, which then hit the bed, causing the fatal injury. Inside the vehicle were a 59-year-old woman driver and a 55-year-old man in the passenger seat. They were both taken to the hospital, but we not badly injured. Investigators say that speed may have been a factor.
According to the Officer of Traffic safety, the majority of Californians say that speeding and aggressive driving is their main concern on the roadways.
During the latest reporting year, there were over 273,000 California car accident injuries. Out of those, there were 14,188 serious traffic crash injuries. There were nearly 4,000 California traffic crash deaths in 2018.
When a person is involved in a vehicle accident, they can sustain serious injuries that lead to major expenses. These expenses include much more than just medical bills.
