How Compass Law Group researches, reviews, and corrects the legal information we publish.
Our editorial mission
Compass Law Group, LLP publishes legal information to help California injury and abuse survivors understand their rights. Our goal is accuracy, clarity, and genuine usefulness—never filler. Every article is written to be truthful, sourced, and reviewed before it is published.
How we research and source our content
We build our articles from primary sources: California statutes and codes (for example, the Code of Civil Procedure, Civil Code, and Vehicle Code), government agencies (such as OSHA, NHTSA, the California DMV, and the California Office of Traffic Safety), and published case law. When we state a fact, we name the source. We do not publish unsourced statistics, and we do not fabricate case results or figures.
Attorney review
Every substantive legal article is reviewed for accuracy by a licensed California attorney before publication. Our reviewing attorneys are Joseph Shirazi (Managing Partner, California State Bar #265403) and Simon Esfandi (Partner & Co-Founder, California State Bar #275307).
Our use of AI
We may use AI tools to assist with drafting and research. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and verified against primary sources by our team—including a licensed California attorney—before it is published. AI is a drafting aid, never the final authority on legal accuracy. We disclose this openly because trustworthy publishing means being honest about how content is produced.
Corrections policy
If you believe something we published is inaccurate, please email info@cmplawgroup.com. We review every report promptly, correct confirmed errors, and update the “Last updated” date on the affected page. Material corrections are noted so readers know what changed.
Legal information, not legal advice
Our articles provide general legal information, not legal advice, and reading them does not create an attorney-client relationship. For advice about your specific situation, contact us for a free consultation.
